About

The Founder Forge is a series of events giving founders of small, growing businesses the knowledge they need to build long-term, self-sustaining companies. Created by the founders of We Are Mammoth and The Starter League, we hold a quarterly workshop in Chicago complemented by casual monthly meet-ups and office hours.

Our Mission

The Founder Forge events are simple and interactive. No hard theory, no big business plans or marketing strategy stuff. We practice simple, hands-on exercises across three categories: Business Vision, Legal, People Operations. Every participant walks away with a custom-tailored set of plans for building their self-sustaining business and workplace.

Who’s This For?

You know the difference between fast food and slow food? Well, we preach the business-equivalent of slow food. We believe in doing a job before hiring for it and making money before you spend it.

Your team is your vessel and, as such, you care for them as intently as you care for your product and clients. If this all warms your heart, then find shelter at The Founder Forge. If you're hoping to study up on exit plans and acquisitions, you won't find much value here.

The Founders

The Founder Forge was founded by Craig Bryant and Neal Sales-Griffin because small companies need more confidence and support when they choose to self-fund, grow over time, and focus on building a real, sustainable business. There’s enough applause for venture-backed initiatives every single day of the week. It’s time to start lauding the true heroes who build their business from the ground up, through thick and thin and come out on the other side competent, strong, and successful.
